What it is
What is glass protection?
Glass protection is a transparent film on the glass that stops damage before it happens. During a refit or renovation there is grinding, welding and painting all around the glass: grinding spatter burns into the surface, paint mist settles on it and tools leave scratches. The film takes all of that, so the glass does not.
The film is virtually invisible and is applied on board, with the glass in place. After the refit we remove the film without leaving any traces. If you want the glass protected for the long term, we apply a permanent film that also protects during normal use.

Why protect the glass?
Repairing glass damage is our profession, so we know exactly what it costs: grinding spatter has to be removed from the surface, small damage filled with resin and scratches polished away. Protection film prevents that work entirely. No treatment afterwards, no extra days on board, no risk to the glass.
We advise which film suits the glass and the situation on board: a sturdy refit film that withstands months of yard work, or a permanent film for glass that is heavily used. When applying we keep the edges clear where needed, so sealant and finishing keep bonding directly to the glass.
Process
How we work
We apply the film at the moment that fits the refit schedule. Application is done on board or in the workshop, pane by pane.
Assessment
We look at the glass, the planned work or the use on board, and choose the film to match.
Preparation
We clean and degrease the glass so the film bonds well and evenly.
Application
We apply the film tight and seamless, keeping the edges clear where sealant or finishing must bond to the glass.
Removal or check
After the refit we remove the film residue-free. For permanent film we check adhesion, edges and finish.
